Zellerbach Hall Lobby Mezzanine,* 5 pm prior to the performances

Join us prior to select performances of dance and music for stimulating hour long talks by artists and specialists.

Lobby Talks take place on the Zellerbach Hall Lobby Mezzanine, where our guests can find refreshing snacks and beverages at the Zellerbach Café . Talks are free and open to the public; tickets must be purchased for the associated concerts.

Join us prior to the concert for a stimulating talk about the musical career of Herbie Hancock with radio host Chuy Varela, KCSM jazz radio music director, with guests Glen Pearson, professor of Jazz Studies and resident pianist at College of Alameda and Rickey Vincent, author of " Funk: The Music of the People and the Rhythm of the One," and host of the KPFA Radio show, History of Funk, and lecturer at UC Berkeley.
