Catch this special opportunity with the Takács Quartet hear from the artists directly about the Bartók Cycle they will perform at Cal Performances. Bartók's quartets have been at the very heart of Takács's repertoire since the group was founded in Budapest in 1975, and it was a recording of those works that put their name on the international map. Join us for this special lecture/demonstration with Takács Quartet.

This exclusive event is your chance to hear about the upcoming season directly from Cal Performances' Director Matías Tarnopolsky. The evening begins with fine wine and hors d'oeuvres. Matías will then lead us through the season's offerings, highlighting the not-to-be-missed performances and offering stories about the rich array of artistic adventures that await you. Additionally, we invite you to join us for a meet and greet where our Ticket Office staff will be on hand to assist you in choosing your preferred seats and placing the first subscription orders of the 2014/15 Season.

Join Cal Performances and members of Mark Morris Dance Group on opening night to celebrate the world Premiere of Mark Morris Dance Group's production of Acis and Galatea. Continuing a "magnificent collaboration" (San Francisco Chronicle), Cal Performances, Mark Morris Dance Group, and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra present their latest joint undertaking, the world premiere of a production featuring Mozart's brilliant arrangement of a Handel score.
