Bartók's quartets have been at the very heart of Takács's repertoire since the group was founded in Budapest in 1975, and it was a recording of those works that put their name on the international map. Join Cal Performances and members of Mark Morris Dance Group on opening night to celebrate the world Premiere of Mark Morris Dance Group's production of Acis and Galatea. Continuing a "magnificent collaboration" (San Francisco Chronicle), Cal Performances, Mark Morris Dance Group, and Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra present their latest joint undertaking, the world premiere of a production featuring Mozart's brilliant arrangement of a Handel score.
